The Cane Corso, or Italian Mastiff as it is commonly known, descends from the ancient and original Canis Pugnax the old Roman Molossus. The Cane Corso is a natural protector, this breed is protective yet gentle. It is very loyal and affectionate to his family and great with children. It is highly intelligent and trainable breed that should be carefully socialized as a puppy. It is important to be fully informed and familiar with the breed before you think of purchasing a Cane Corso.
